It’s no secret that the two Korean companies have long actively compete with each other. Every company is trying to get ahead of competitors in everything – a bit earlier to announce a new flagship, the first to introduce a prototype of the new technology to overtake each other on the number of “parrots” that their phones are gaining in synthetic tests. So last week was very rich in such news.[ads1]
First of all, talking about smartphones with flexible displays. Such phones are planning to release this month the two companies. In the case of Samsung it is a special version of the Galaxy Note 3 Active, which is scheduled for release next week, will not. LG is going to introduce a new smart phone called LG G Flex (codenamed LG Z). According to rumors, the production number is already in full swing, and sales will begin in November.[ads2]
Frankly, the hype surrounding such displays to me personally is not too clear. After all, first, neither Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Active, nor LG G Flex will not, in fact, bend. We are talking only about the greater stability of this type of monitor to fall, and the possibility of a little more to reduce the thickness of skirting around the screen. Secondly, the two models will be available in limited quantities, as none of the companies could not yet provide the production of flexible OLED-panels on an industrial scale.[ads1]
Another news about the eternal confrontation between the two companies – the rumors about the artificially high results Note 3 in a number of well-known benchmarks. This allows to demonstrate the imaginary speed advantage over LG G2, which uses the same CPU. I recall that earlier a similar “Muhlezh” has already been seen Samsung Galaxy S4. If this is true, then the Samsung obviously picked the wrong road. In my view, the effect of this “advantage” is strictly reversed. All those who are a little bit interested in news mobile market finally cease to trust virtual “parrot” and loud marketing slogans. A regular buyers who could “bite” on such a trick, in any case, not much interested in the results of synthetic benchmarks.
The LG also decided not to sit idly by and let out a special application that demonstrates the advantages of LG G2. The application can download and install on your Android smartphone by anyone. This can be done both from the Google Play site and LG. The application itself is, in fact, is an interactive slide show, showing features such as «KnockON», «Capture Plus», «Slide Aside» and others.
The application has an interesting idea, but in practice such a show quite impressive. If marketers are hoping for some sort of LG «WOW» effect, then, in my opinion, it is in vain.[ads1]
